Azerbaijani Articles
In English articles are words that combine with a noun to indicate the type of reference being made by the noun. Generally articles specify the grammatical definiteness of the noun. Examples are "the, a, and an". However that doesn't exist in Azeri. Here are some examples:
English Articles | Azerbaijani Articles |
---|---|
articles | artikllər |
the | - |
a | - |
one | bir |
some | bəzi |
few | az |
the book | kitab |
the books | kitablar |
a book | kitab |
one book | bir kitab |
some books | Bəzi kitablar |
few books | bir neçə kitab |
As you can see from the example above, the structure of no articles in Azerbaijani takes a logical pattern.
